How deliciously wonderful are four-day long weekends? I mean seriously, four days off to do as much or as little as you want. Does it get any better? (Okay, maybe if you had five days off it does, but let’s not quibble smarty pants!)
We used the recent Easter break as the perfect excuse to visit loved ones on the South Coast of NSW in the beautiful little seaside town of Merimbula. We chose to keep our break low key and focused mainly on relaxing, eating, sitting, occasionally napping and, of course, drinking wine…and that was the weekend in a nutshell really!
Eventually though we did muster up enough energy to visit Pambula Beach, walk along the boardwalk every day, and enjoy a delicious dinner and drinks at Wheelers Restaurant where I tasted the most delicious duck curry I have ever had. So good…..words just fail me….
*drools while whispering ‘duck curryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy’
There were also many shared drinks on the balcony from 5pm with good conversation and great company. Watching the sun set while drinking champagne sure is a tough way to kill time.
We did enjoy some beautiful weather on the Coast, but I just had to share these dark and storm seaside images. That’s something I love about Merimbula – rain, hail or shine it’s one hell of a gorgeous place to visit.
