Spring Fitness Challenge – Week Nine

My 12 Week Spring Fitness Challenge is now in its final few weeks and I’m really aware of keeping my momentum up right until the end! 

How I went in Week Eight:

My goals for the eighth week of the challenge were:

  • Pass 10,000 steps.

For the third time I got oh so close to passing 70,000 steps for the week, missing out by just a few hundred steps. Despite being tough, I love this challenge and will definitely include it again before the end of the 12 weeks. 

  • Stretch it out.

I was aiming to complete three stretching sessions this week to help with flexibility but only found time for one session. I know I need to dedicate more time to this though so I’m adding it back into this week’s goals. 

  • Make time for weights.

I did two of my three planned free weights sessions this week, with some moves designed to focus on my triceps.

  • Squats sets.

I actually remembered to complete 60, and not 50, squats every day this week, unlike a few weeks ago! 

Goals for Week Nine:

My goals for the ninth week of the challenge are:

Keep moving: This week I will find a way to be active for at least 30 minutes every day. Whether it’s by walking, swimming, dancing or running, I will keep my body moving this week. 

Focus on my core: I will complete five rounds of my abdominal exercises set by my physiotherapist. 

Work on flexibility: I am aiming to tick off five stretch sessions to help release some pressure across my arms and back and increase my flexibility.
