Family fun in the Blue Mountains

I love a good long weekend, especially when it involves family and a spot of travel!

We just travelled to the Blue Mountains in NSW to spend the Queen’s Birthday weekend with my parents and siblings.

We drove from Canberra with a jam-packed car on Friday to make the most of the long weekend.

The weather was a bit hit and miss throughout the weekend but the mountains are always beautiful regardless. We got quite a bit of rain, some spots of sunshine and a lot of fog, but it all adds to the atmosphere!

On Saturday we explored the Everglades Historic House and Gardens in Leura. The gardens were built in the 1930s and are set against a backdrop of bushland and breathtaking views.

After some exploring we indulged in Devonshire Tea in the Tea Rooms and wandered through the beautiful Art Deco home.

That night, we all rugged up, sat by a campfire and roasted marshmallows.

The sun was shining on Sunday morning so we went for a big walk through Wentworth Falls to the Wentworth Falls lake. Aidan played on the park and looked at the ducks with his Nanna.

I loved walking past all the beautiful homes and indulging in a few real estate fantasies!

We finished up the weekend with an early breakfast at Fed Deli in Wentworth Falls and some delicious coffees. The cafe was so cute and we couldn’t resist grabbing some treats from the insane cake display for the drive home.

It was a fantastic weekend, our beautiful boy had the best time, and there was a lot of love going around!

How did you spend your long weekend?
