My three beauty non-negotiables

As I adjust to life as a mother of two children, I am still getting my head around how I can fit in my skincare and beauty routine. But on the mornings when I am particularly short on time I have three beauty must haves that I reach for every time.

The three items I can’t live without are an amazing sunscreen, a CC cream or tinted moisturiser, and a tubular mascara, because when my skin is looking healthy and glowing and my lashes are done I just feel more myself. I have bought all three products multiple times and have no plans of stopping anytime soon.

Supreme Screen SPF 50+ Hydrating Facial Sunscreen: This sunscreen is every bit as good as the hype surrounding it. It’s a triple threat; a primer, moisturiser and SPF in one. It offers a very hydrating base and excellent sun protection without the typical sticky finish of a lot of suncreens. I use it every morning after I have applied my skincare and before I put on any makeup.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream SPF50: Another cult classic, IT Cosmetics’ CC+ Cream is a winner. It offers amazing coverage for a CC cream, but still has a natural finish, which I prefer. It also offers SPF50 protection and includes popular skincare ingredients to hydrate the skin.

Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara: I only buy tubular mascaras and this beauty from Kevyn Aucoin is my favourite. It uses “lash-building fibres to thicken and lengthen your lashes without flaking” and it delivers. I find it’s more of a traditional lengthening mascara rather than a volumiser, especially with the skinny wand, but again that’s my preference, especially for everyday use.
